What We're About

Guardians of the PLUZ is a community-led group focused on keeping Alberta’s Public Land Use Zones (PLUZ) clean through individual efforts and shared responsibility. We’re outdoor enthusiasts — off-roaders, campers, hikers, and more — who care deeply about protecting the places we love to explore.

Join the Crew

If you care about Alberta’s trails, campsites, and public lands — and you’re willing to lend a hand — we’d love to have you. Whether you're out with friends or on a solo adventure, there’s always a way to contribute.

Our Mission

  • Promote responsible use of public land
  • Encourage litter cleanup through individual action
  • Keep trails and campsites clean and accessible for future generations

Want to Get Involved?

It’s simple. A trash bag and gloves go a long way — and in some cases, a small hand tool can help safely remove buried litter.

Whenever you’re out — off-roading, camping, hiking, or just exploring — take a moment to clean up what you can. Snap a before-and-after photo and share it in our Facebook group. Every small act adds up and helps inspire others to do the same.

While we are not currently organizing formal group events, the group remains a place to share your efforts, encourage others, and celebrate stewardship of Alberta’s public lands.
